Area and volume data can also be generated as can continuous measurement as the user is moving or walking around. How much better is this than trying to fit yourself into that space under the stairs? Unlike standard steel tape measures, there is a lot less legwork involved and a laser measure will enable a person to take readings in otherwise impossible positions.
